The objective of this competition is to develop closer ties across the European community of haiku creators (although haiku authors from other parts of the world are welcome to submit entries as well). Starting 2018 we are planning one competition yearly: EUROPEAN KUKAI (in 2013-2017 we organized 4 separate quarterly competitions in each year: EUROPEAN QUARTERLY KUKAI). The competition is led in cooperation with the Publishing House KONTEKST from Poznań.

Results of the European Quarterly Kukai #3 - Autumn 2013
Autumn in Europe, autumn in the northern hemisphere, so the autumn
edition of EQK. Still great interest in participation in Kukai despite the
holiday travel - more than 140 authors sent their haiku. It's a big success. In
this edition the leading places were taken by ladies. And they are: Sondra
J. Byrnes, Heike Gewi, Roberta Beary, Durda Vukelic-Rozic and Sanjukta Asopa.
We also have the first double laureate of EQK (second and third
edition) Roberta Beary. We wish her good luck in
further editions of our contest.
A winter edition before us. You are welcome.
