The objective of this competition is to develop closer ties across the European community of haiku creators (although haiku authors from other parts of the world are welcome to submit entries as well). Starting 2018 we are planning one competition yearly: EUROPEAN KUKAI (in 2013-2017 we organized 4 separate quarterly competitions in each year: EUROPEAN QUARTERLY KUKAI). The competition is led in cooperation with the Publishing House KONTEKST from Poznań.

Dear Haiku Friends, welcome to the EUROPEAN QUARTERLY KUKAI #8 – Winter 2014 Edition

Topic: COSMOS (for example: sun, moon, planets, stars, galaxies, etc) - the word "cosmos" is not required
Entrants: open to anyone
Haiku: one unpublished haiku
haiku must remain anonymous until the results are posted,
co-editors reserve the right not to accept an entrant / haiku,
by sending haiku author agrees to the publication without a pay in a planned almanac
Language: English                 
Style: unlimited
Period for submission: Tuesday, November 18 - Monday, December 8, 2014
Voting period: Wednesday, December 10 – Monday, December 15, 2014

haiku #x - 3 pts
haiku #y - 2 pts
haiku #z - 1 pt
(you can vote only for three haiku) 
voting is mandatory, please do not vote for your own haiku
Results: no later than Thursday, December 18, 2014
Prizes: e-diplomas for authors from 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
