The objective of this competition is to develop closer ties across the European community of haiku creators (although haiku authors from other parts of the world are welcome to submit entries as well). Starting 2018 we are planning one competition yearly: EUROPEAN KUKAI (in 2013-2017 we organized 4 separate quarterly competitions in each year: EUROPEAN QUARTERLY KUKAI). The competition is led in cooperation with the Publishing House KONTEKST from Poznań.

Results of the EUROPEAN QUARTERLY KUKAI #16 - Winter 2016 Edition (topic: journey)

We are closing next edition of the EQK and fourth year of it's existence. The number of participants in our fun is increasing (record number of 220 participants in this edition), although for some authors is difficult to decide to undergo public scrutiny own haiku. No matter whether you are the experienced or novice author. We are primarily helpers in collecting your haiku and counting your votes. This time we noticed a great results of Marta Chociłowska, leading from start to finish and gathered record 70 points. Second place for Iliyana Stoyanova (second time in Top 3). In third place, we have two well known authors: Radka Mindova (second time in Top 3), and Roberta Beary (fourth time in Top 3). Congratulations.
The next edition of EQK as usually in spring but it will be the last year of this popular kukai. Five years is enough to do something and not to bore the world of haiku.

Dear Friends, we wish you all the best in 2017.
